Leading the charge of increasing colorectal cancer awareness and screenings in Arkansas’ underserved communities.
Cancers of the colon and rectal are currently the third most common type in the US and the second leading cause of death in both men and women. The most eye-opening fact is that colon cancer has exploded as an epidemic among young adults.
In an effort to bring more attention and awareness regarding colorectal cancer to the state of Arkansas, CCCF is taking steps (literally and figuratively) to lead the charge.
Join us for our annual Blue Brunch in March (national colorectal cancer month) and our annual Paint the City Blue Walk held each September. If you’re interested in partnering or would like to host us in a city within the counties we serve, email TEMERITY.CASSANDRACARES@GMAIL.COM.

Knowing that screenings are key to prevention, the vision shifted toward being proactive instead of reactive. The team began partnering with other organizations to collect the data needed, learn what barriers exist, and identify the communities to focus on. CCCF committed to informing the communities they serve about colorectal cancer and the importance of screenings, as well as providing sensible solutions to barriers that prevent early detection.
CCCF's mission is to inform, educate, and prevent. We will lead the charge of raising awareness of colorectal cancer in underserved communities. We will connect Arkansas minorities in the counties we serve to the education and healthcare resources needed to aid in the prevention, early detection, and treatment of colorectal cancer.
CCCF welcomes community partners where we can build a mutually beneficial relationship. Submit your email address to begin the sign up process.
Our annual brunch and learn event is a free event held during national colorectal cancer month. Join CCCF for brunch, health education, wellness checks, fun, and giveaways.
